THE INTERNATIONAL LAW MOOT COURT SOCIETY by Astrida Navayette, Dewi Savitri Reni and Sari Aziz The ILMS is a student organization (a semi-autonomous body under the Student Executive Body) in FHUI, specializing in the field of international law education, and actively sending students to compete in moot court competitions around the world. Acting as the advisors of ILMS is Professor Hikmahanto Juwana, the former Dean of FHUI.
The history of ILMS' establishment started in 1999 when three students (Yu Un Oppusunggu, Setia Nurul Nadya Soraya, and Rory Permadi) were assigned to participate in the Asia Cup. Two years later, their juniors: Adhiyanti Wirajuda, Arisia Pusponegoro, Dinar Shinta Ullie, Ignatius Puguh Priambodo, and Maria Irma Yunita were introduced to the more prestigious Jessup Competition. Experience from Indonesia's first and second participation in the Asia Cup and Jessup Competition has led to the idea of the establishment of an organization to accommodate potential students to participate in moot court competitions. In September 2001, ILMS was established by Ignatius Puguh Priambodo, Kanya Satwika, Mohamad Mova Al'Afghani, Sunan Jaya Rustam and Ulyartha Naibaho.
